Bánh Khúc the Iconic Tonkin dish now available in London (Vegan Biosphere News)
Our Vegan Bánh Khúc or Xôi Khúc Chay, is a sticky rice cake originating from the Northern Delta region (Tonkin) in Viet Nam, made from rau khúc leaves (there are two types: rau Khúc tẻ (plain) and rau Khúc nếp (fragrant), sometimes also called Mr Khúc (Ông Khúc) and Madam Khúc (Bà Khúc) Leaves, but when making the cake, people often choose rau Khúc nếp leaves, because they are more flavorsome), sticky rice, green bean filling, and vegan meat/mushrooms. Our great Lady Kind Chef has kindly recreated this with Love and Sen Viet Vegan brings it to you, so enjoy now!
